Air Freight Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Air Freight Specialist to join our team in the freight forwarding industry. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in air freight operations within the UAE, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of air cargo.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage air freight shipments from origin to destination, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Liaise with airlines, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to arrange and track shipments.
• Prepare and process all necessary shipping documents, including airway bills, invoices, and packing lists.
• Monitor and track shipments, providing regular updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local and international air freight regulations and customs requirements.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to air freight shipments, including delays, damages, or lost goods.
• Maintain accurate records of all air freight activities and transactions.
• Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to meet customer requirements and expectations.
• Implement and optimize air freight processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in air freight operations within the freight forwarding industry in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of air freight regulations and customs procedures.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in logistics or supply chain management.
• Experience with handling dangerous goods and perishable items.
